As wildfires rage through California and PG&E cuts power to millions of people, we’re bringing together communities that have been unfairly burdened with the impacts of a dirty, dangerous energy system to demand a safe, reliable, community-and-worker-owned energy system that benefits all Californians, especially the people most harmed by PG&E and California’s other for-profit investor-owned utility monopolies, Southern California Edison, San Diego Gas & Electric and SoCal Gas.

A campaign fighting to hold PG&E accountable while working towards a just transition for a community & worker-owned energy system

SHAME! The same utilities that caused the worst wi SHAME! The same utilities that caused the worst wildfires in California history are now funding a fake “wildfire victims” front group to push for a bailout. They’re trying to limit how much they have to compensate fire survivors — and pass the cost of their fires onto us.

We won’t fall for their scam! Tell Governor Newsom to protect fire survivors and make those responsible for fires pay for them. Take action now: DearNewsom.org.

The fight for public power in San Francisco took a The fight for public power in San Francisco took a major step forward last week! Replacing PG&E with a not-for-profit energy system will mean cheaper bills, fewer blackouts, and a safer City for everyone.

“Daniel Robelo, a communications and digital organizer with Reclaim Our Power, a campaign fighting for a community- and worker-owned energy system in California, said “a victory in San Francisco” would be a positive sign for the state’s future.

“Energy is a public good,” Robelo said. “Ultimately, the whole state, not just San Francisco, needs to break up with PG&E and build a new utility that puts people and the planet over corporate profits.”

San Diego! All out to the City Council on Monday, San Diego! All out to the City Council on Monday, June 22 to call for public power!
RSVP: sandiego350.org/event/civi_event_1827/

Councilmembers will review a report that shows that public power is viable for San Diego — that is, the people can fire SDG&E and replace it with a nonprofit utility owned by the community! And it would save San Diego HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars every year!

The council will only take further action if they believe that there’s strong public support. So let’s show up in force to demand Clean Power to the People!

Much love and solidarity to our comrades in San Diego!✊⚡️

Don’t let PG&E destroy evidence of possible crimes Don’t let PG&E destroy evidence of possible crimes!

We all know PG&E’s MO: start fires, burn down communities, then reach undisclosed settlements that are not accountable to anyone, and make the cases disappear.

They’re doing that right now—shredding evidence that state and county officials should be investigating for criminal activity. Meanwhile, many fire survivors are still fighting for justice, accountability, and to be made whole.

Stand with survivors of PG&E’s fires!

Another day, another PG&E scandal endangering the Another day, another PG&E scandal endangering the lives of Californians.

“PG&E’s conduct in this case is not an isolated incident of negligence, but rather the latest manifestation of a decades-long pattern of corporate recklessness that demonstrates a conscious disregard for public safety in favor of corporate profits,” the lawsuit claims.

Abolish PG&E! Justice for the Duenas family and all those harmed by PG&E’s disasters!
